ALL BALLED UP - #103

A red ball it dropped through a long tube to show that it is empty. The ball it dropped in again, but this time a red silk hanky is removed from the bottom of the tube. A yellow ball is then dropped in and a yellow silk hanky removed from the bottom. This is followed by a blue ball that turns to a blue hanky. Everyone will suspect that the balls are inside the tube. The performer blows into the tube and a white hanky comes flying out. On it is printed the three colored balls and the tube is shown absolutely empty. None of the hankies conceal anything and can be used for other following effects. (MY) FIFTEEN CARD TRICK - Jim Rainho's Version - #160
- This is a classic in magic. A spectator counts out fifteen cards that are then placed into an envelope that he retains. Magician deals out another fifteen cards. Three cards are selected from this stack by three other spectators. These freely selected cards are returned to the stack of cards. The three spectators merely think of their selected cards and, one by one, they travel into the envelope that the first spectator holds. The magician counts his cards - he now holds only 12 cards. The spectator with the envelope removes the cards and counts them - he now has 18 cards. The spectators who selected the three cards are asked to call out the names of the cards they selected. FLAME OF KAN-DEL
A CLASSY EFFECT THAT CAN BE THE FEATURE HIT IN YOUR ACT - IT IS IN MINE.

Completely self-contained.

A 14" tall candle on a stand is on display. It is lit and a tube placed round the candle so that
the burning top shows above the tube. A paper cone is shown and the burning candle removed
from the stand. The candle, still burning, is dropped into he cone where it can be shown plainly.

The flame is blown out and the CONE IS CRUSHED - THE CANDLE HAS APPARENTLY VANISHED.

THE TUBE IS REMOVED FROM THE STAND AND THERE - BACK ON THE STAND -
IS THE CANDLE STILL BURNING.

GREAT EGG TRICK - #185
- The BEST Egg on Head routine you'll ever find. You state that the next trick you want to do is BRAND NEW. You have never done it before but with the help of an assisting adult you will try it. "I have never done this. I just bought it and I don't really know how to do it but I have the instructions here, so if I can get an adult to come up and read the instructions I will do the trick." I always get a parent or, if at a school, a teacher or the principal; or cub master if working for scouting group, etc. The spectator reads the First Step (the book is in steps, one per page). A boy is brought up and a cup placed on his head, then an egg is broken into a mug and poured into the cup on the boy's head. The cup is covered with a plate and according to the instruction is turned UP SIDE DOWN and placed back on boy's head. Now you see the comedy as it develops. The instructions then tell you to remove the plate from underneath the cup. The finale is very funny. This is different that the Don Allen routine where the instruction card is used to cover the container on the head. This never made much sense. Here the instructions TELL YOU what to do. You act skeptical, but after all, this is MAGIC, so they must know what they're doing- and so you do it. This is a very funny, funny routine. Comes with cup, Instruction booklet and gimmick. PYRAMID GLASS SUSPENSION - #245

Four plastic tumblers are shown together with a small board. Three of the glasses are placed on the board in a triangle. The fourth glass is placed on the rims of the other three and the unit turned up-side-down. Amazingly the glasses remain suspended on the board.. AN ADDED FEATURE. Before placing the glasses on the board insert a colored hanky into each glass, effect the suspension and while the glasses are suspended remove the hankies one by one. Finally upright the board and remove the glasses one by one. NO MAGNETS - NO ADHESIVES. It is a very good effect for children or adult audiences. IT IS GOOD otherwise it would not be copied. RAINBOW SILK DYE - #246

ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EFFECTS IN MAGIC.
You show a tube and unroll the outer cover to expose the transparent interior. The cover is rolled back over the tube and a white silk hanky inserted into the tube. You pick up a glass of RED liquid and drink half of the contents. You blow into the tube and out flutters a RED silk hanky. The cover on the tube is unrolled to show the tube empty. You then insert another white hanky and drink YELLOW liquid. A YELLOW silk is blown out of the tube. This is repeated with GREEN liquid. For the finale you insert a fourth white ilk into the tube and drink the remainder of the three drinks. You blow into the tube and out flutters a tri-colored hanky. The tube again i s shown absolutely empty. Everything is self contained. No mirrors or secret compartments in the tube. SILK TO EGG ROUTINE - (Rainho's) - #260

The BEST! No phony moves. Great sensible routine.You offer to show how a magic trick is done. But they must watch you very carefully because you will try to fool them. You show a silk hanky and push it into the hand making a 'funny looking' move indicating that you did not put it in the hand but placed it in your pocket. "NO, NO" you say, "It is here in the hand." You show the hanky in the hand. "Watch again." You repeat the moves - but now show that the hanky has changed into an EGG. You then tell them how it is done. You show that the egg is really a plastic egg with a hole on the side and the hanky is inside. You then show the audience how to do the trick, and AT THE END you tell them, "Very easy to do BUT you must practice it. I would say practice it every day, twice a day and after about - thirty (depending on your age) years you should be able to do this." With that you bring out a glass and crack the egg into it. This is not the old method where you take out a coin or some other stupid object to wave over the hand. THIS ROUTINE IS CLEAN IN HANDLING AND EXECUTION. THE BEST YOU WILL FIND. A long balloon is inserted into a tube and inflated so that the balloon protrudes= from both ends of the tube. You then push two long sharp[ knitting needles into the tube and apparently through the balloon without bursting it. You can use audience participation by having a spectator push in the needles. WHAT A POKER DEAL -

- You play three hands of Poker with a spectator and never lose. NEW CLEAN METHOD. NO SLEIGHT OF HAND. Ten JUMBO CARDS are shown and shuffled by a spectator. You then deal out two Poker hands to a spectator and yourself. YOUR HAND WINS. Have the cards shuffled again but this time instead of dealing out the cards you have the spectator tell you whether or not he wants a particular card as you go through them. Give him the cards he wants and you take what you want. STILL HE LOSES. Spectator shuffles the cards again for one more hand. This time you deal out two hole cards, one to the spectator and one to yourself. The cards are now held with faces showing and the spectator can choose if he wants the card showing. BUT he also controls the cards you get because the ones he rejects become your cards. HE STILL LOSES. Great routine with a Himber wallet where, at the beginning, you show three bills in the wallet and wager them in the three Poker hands, each time showing the bills. At the end you you say, "Don't feel bad sir, look, we weren't playing for anything anyway." YOU SHOW THE WALLET EMPTY. One of the features in my adult shows.
